Personal Profile
Hi,
I’m Jacky — a Los Angeles–based animator, illustrator, and graphic designer. In 2024 I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animation from California State University, Los Angeles, building on a lifelong foundation in visual arts.

Originally self-taught in traditional illustration and oil painting, I’ve always been driven by storytelling and visual expression. Formal training in animation allowed me to refine those instincts, expand my technical skill set, and bring the stories in my head to life through motion and design.

Graphic Design has led me into what I’m currently completing, a UX/UI Design program to further strengthen my creative toolbox and broaden the ways I approach problem-solving through design.

Education
2022 - 2024
CalState LA
Received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Animation. My final thesis film "Sweet Melody" incorporates various animation techniques such as; rotoscoping, 2d animation, Stop motion in both 2d and 3d, as well use of my poetry to deliver the story of a single mother at a breaking point in her life.
2019 - 2022
Los Angeles City College
The beginning of my education career, here I received an Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. I learned about the art of reduction, the fun world of typography, and how to navigate the Adobe suite.
